It was Z’s turn to make a drink again so he went looking through the cabinet to see what was in abundance. He found a mostly full bottle of peach schnapps and the internet provided the following modern cocktail — although there were no readily findable facts or histories. That night we had mixed up two different sourdough bread recipes and settled in for taste testing with this yummy cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz light rum
- 1 ½ oz peach schnapps
- ½ oz lime juice
- dash of simple syrup
- lemon wheel to garnish
Shake vigorously, strain into a chilled glass. Use a mint sprig to garnish (we went without).
The verdict: a nice refreshing drink that will be good to try again in the summer. We liked it— a bunch of thumbs up!
